Jennifer Aniston settles with a promise
Not a big win over this celebrity lawsuit, just a promising word on the table. Jennifer Aniston sued a photographer last December when he took pictures of her while she was sunbathing topless outside her home. At first she claimed she was disgusted by the act, but now only wants him to commit to never showcasing or selling the pictures ever again.
Paparazzo Peter Brandt claims he did nothing illegal to shoot the pictures of Aniston. He also stated, "What I was trying to sell was the pictures of Vince and her...sending the topless picture along with (those) was maybe my mistake." Aniston filed the suit against Brandt when she found out the pictures were sent to a number of celebrity magazine editors. Brandt did not climb any trees or trespass along any property, which somehow makes it legal for him to take the topless photos of Aniston. He was on a nearby street when he saw her walk out topless, yet she was still in the privacy of her own property.
Although AP states Aniston's legal documents show that she was in dire "shame, mortification, hurt feelings, emotional distress and feeling of being violated and injury to her privacy and peace of mind." she seems content in knowing Brandt has given his word.
"It's a confidential settlement. The matter was amicably resolved," Aniston's attorney John Lavely stated.

Jennifer Aniston sets record straight on engagement to Vince Vaughn
Is she or isn't she?
"I'm not engaged and I don't have a ring and I haven't been proposed to," Jennifer Aniston told People magazine in an exclusive interview.
Aniston felt prompted to speak out about the persistent rumors of her engagement to actor Vince Vaughn, her co-star in "The Break Up." Since the two worked together on the film and were photographed looking very cozy in each other's company, the media has refused to let up that there is more going on than the couple will admit. So far, neither has admitted they're even dating the other!
The "Friends" star has been deftly swatting away questions about her personal life. But when she received a call from her father telling her that news of the engagement was on the CNN crawl, Aniston was astonished.
"Tabloids are going to lie all the time," the actress said. "You're prepared for that. But it's the news. And you think, 'Well, we need to trust what our newscasters are saying when we have this horrific situation that's actually taking place in the world. I mean, we are getting reported the truth, right?'"
The tabloids seem to have a way of willing these stories to life. Rumors swirled for months about Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt and his co-star Angelina Jolie's secret relationship before the couple was seen flying off to save African children together. Perhaps if they keep printing stories of an engagement between Vaughn and Aniston, one day it'll be true.

Jennifer Aniston Staying in Chicago
Wherever you travel, you can always make "Friends."
UK newspaper The Sun reported that television and film actor Jennifer Aniston is anxious to sell her Hollywood property now that ex Brad Pitt has been spotted around town with new flame Angelina Jolie.
While Pitt and Jolie have reportedly fled to Paris to escape the cameras of the paparazzi, friends of Aniston told the paper that Southern California just holds too many memories for her.
Aniston reportedly had a great time last summer in Chicago while filming "The Break-Up" with Vince Vaughn, who has family in the area and with whom Aniston has been romantically linked since the divorce was finalized.
"It makes sense for me to leave, Aniston said. "I can live outside LA and fly in for work." Let's hope she has some new "Friends" real soon.
