Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston Dominate Christmas Day Movie Sales

It would seem that Christmas found both members of the former couple of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston fortune and even more fame, as both of the actors' new films were in top slots on Christmas Day.
Aniston's Marley & Me, a feel-good movie costarring Owen Wilson, about a young family and their mischievous dog, took the top spot, grossing $14.8 million - the highest one-day total ever for a film opening on Christmas Day.
Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was only just barely behind, grossing $11.8 million - the second highest one-day total for a film opening on Christmas Day. Curious Case tells the story of a lifelong romance between Pitt - who ages in reverse - and Cate Blanchett.
According to Variety, both films exceeded ticket sales expectations by 40-50 percent.
Also performing well on Christmas Day was the new Adam Sandler film, the kid-friendly Bedtime Stories, which grossed $10.5 million. Valkyrie, the new Tom Cruise movie about an assassination plot against Adolf Hitler, also did well - although receiving mixed reviews, the film grossed a solid opening day total of $8.5 million.
The only underperformer of the holiday was Frank Miller's newest graphic novel adaptation, The Spirit, starring Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson, which grossed around $4 million.

Rihanna to Rock Out at Charity Inaugural Ball

On January 20th the songstress will headline the Recording Industry Association of America's charity ball benefiting Feeding America. She'll be joining the likes of Will Smith who says he will also be in D.C. for the Inauguration. ""We'll go there and just cry - probably two, three days in a row. Just lots of crying. We'll probably cheer a lot, too," he told reporters at the L.A. premiere of Seven Pounds.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer Indulge in PDA

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were caught in the cold New York streets last night doing something they don't usually do: talking to the paparazzi. According to TMZ, the couple, wearing matching black jackets and jeans, spoke to photographers on their way to meet Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos at La Esquina.
"I'm happy to report the movie is completely in focus," Mayer told the photographers. "I want everyone to know that."
Mayer was referring to Marley and Me, Aniston's new movie with Owen Wilson, which will open December 25. Aniston, 39, has been busy promoting the new film for the past month, and has spent the rest of her time with Mayer, 31. In an interview in People magazine, the actress was asked if she would ever consider remarrying. Aniston replied, "I don't know! I honestly don't know. I'm not against it. Maybe. Maybe, sure."

Jennifer Aniston Gets Older, and Hotter!

Anyone else notice that the older she gets, the more publicity she gets, too? Beauty Jennifer Aniston might still be hurt after her heartbreaking breakup with Brad Pitt (aka Mr. Angelina Jolie), but she's sure not looking it. At 39 years old and counting, she's dating a younger man and posing nearly nude on magazines read by millions.
Nary does a day go by when Aniston isn't in the news, and every time she is, she's looking better than the rest of us. Aniston has been especially in the spotlight the last month, as she promotes her comedy, Marley & Me, in which she stars with fellow comedian Owen Wilson. In a recent USA Today interview, neither of the funny people were laughing much, as both Aniston and Wilson have had rather rough years: Aniston, after her much-publicized breakup with ex-husband Brad Pitt (leaving her for the also beautiful Jolie), and Wilson, for his breakup with Kate Hudson, and subsequent suicide attempt.
In recent interviews, Aniston has started to open up about the last two years, noting that she would never sell her baby's pictures (jab jab at Brangelina), how Jolie's enthusiasm to get to work on Mr. and Mrs. Smith (and apparently to get to work falling in love) was "not cool." On an episode this week of the Early Show, she celebrated the aging process, saying that things just keep getting better, the older she gets. And judging by photos, she also gets better with age!
However, dating John Mayer once again and surfacing on nearly any television show she pleases, Aniston is back and better than ever. Despite her history of films that don't perform terribly well, and early (and negative) reviews of Marley & Me, it is a testament to Aniston's staying power and likability factor that she is still so well-liked.

Jennifer Aniston gives away 'GQ' tie

Jennifer Aniston has handed talkshow host David Letterman the tie she wore for her racy GQ shoot.
The 39-year-old, who appeared on the cover of the men's magazine wearing just a red, white and blue necktie, presented the gift to the Late Show host while promoting her new film Marley & Me.
"It's an early Christmas present," she said.
Letterman promptly took off his tie and put on the new one with Aniston's assistance. "This is exciting, I'm dressing Dave!" she added.
When the tie appeared to be too short, Letterman joked: "You know what they say about guys with short ties."

Madonna Pays Up

Madonna and ex-hubby Guy Ritchie have reached a divorce settlement in which Ritchie will receive an amount between $76 million and $92 million. This includes the value of their country home in Ashcombe in western England as well as Punchbowl, their London pub. The singing star cited Ritchie's "unreasonable behavior" as the cause. The two were recently granted a preliminary "quickie divorce."

Jennifer Aniston: Not Trying to Make Brad Jealous

The message of the day seems to be: Don't take it so seriously. After screen and television beauty Jennifer Aniston posed practically nude for GQ magazine, whispers began that Aniston was doing it as a counter to the recent press afforded her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and his equally famous (and beautiful) partner, Angelina Jolie.
Aniston's newest film, Marley & Me, has been a renewed source of attention for the 39-year-old star of such popular fare as the longrunning television show, Friends, and the film, The Break-Up.
Aniston has told interviewers that there is no bad blood between her and Pitt. Though she is often asked about Jolie, Aniston has refrained from mocking or making fun of her ex's new squeeze. She reportedly did not approve of the way Jolie sold baby photos to a magazine (though reportedly for charity). It is a common practice for celebrities to allow the highest bidders to take the first celebrity baby photos.

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston Talk Chemistry

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston's new movie, Marley and Me, comes out in two weeks, and in an interview with USA Today, the costars discussed their onscreen and off-screen chemistry.
"It was an instant ease when we met and started rehearsing, and I think it's rare," Aniston said. In an interview with MTV, the actress claimed her favorite Owen Wilson movie was Bottle Rocket, saying when she saw the movie, she never imagined actually working with Wilson. "I remember thinking, 'Oh, he's one of those actors. He'll never want to work with a sitcom star,'" Aniston laughed.
Wilson also admitted he was nervous to work with someone who was so close to many of his friends, including Vince Vaughn, Aniston's ex-boyfriend, confessing: "I felt extra pressure that we got along, because I had so many friends that had worked with Jen, and everybody has said the same thing, how much they loved working with her. I didn't want to be the one guy she hates!"

Jennifer Aniston Still Not Pregnant

Jennifer Aniston promised People Magazine once again that she is not pregnant this week, calling the rumor "hysterical."
"It's almost going to take away the fun from actually being able to say one day, 'I'm pregnant!'" The actress said. "Everyone will be like, 'Yeah, right.' It's the boy who cried wolf. Stop stealing my thunder, motherf***ers!"
Aniston did say that she hoped to one day have children, stating: "I feel like that's in my future and I'm on the verge of it in some way - or it's something I long for. So it was great to sort of dip your toe in it."
The actress will star in the upcoming film, Marley and Me, with Owen Wilson, opening Christmas day, coincidentally the same day as her former husband, Brad Pitt's, movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, opens. "I want 'Button' to do great," Aniston exclaimed. "I've seen about an hour of it. It's amazing. Amazing."

Jennifer Aniston Covers 'Vogue' December 2008

In the December issue of Vogue, Jennifer Aniston finally discusses how she felt when her then husband, Brad Pitt, was cuddling up with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith costar, Angelina Jolie.
In the January 2007 Vogue issue, Jolie discussed her excitement and attraction to see Pitt at the time of filming for Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Jolie went on to dish about the details of her relationship with Pitt, at a time when Aniston and Pitt were still together.
Aniston describes in her interview how she thought, "What Angelina did was very uncool."
"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston says in her interview. Ironically, Aniston is opening up to the same writer who interviewed Jolie in the January 2007 issue.
This is the first time that Aniston actually speaks up about her ex-husband and Ms. Jolie. She goes on to discuss her recent relationships, including Vince Vaughn and John Mayer and expresses her desire for being a mother some day.

Jennifer Aniston reveals technophobia

Jennifer Aniston has confessed that she is apprehensive about the internet and modern technology.
The actress told The New York Times that she often finds herself puzzled by the latest popular websites.
She said: "I'm really computer illiterate. When I see people on their BlackBerrys, working them like some girls work a hairdryer, I'm just stunned. People have sent me clips from FunnyOrDie.com or YouTube, but I never seek it out... I'm content with just checking my e-mail."
The 39-year-old revealed that she is determined to avoid social networking site Facebook, saying: "It's not for me. I'd be opening myself up too much. I don't want to sound like a complete innocent - I've looked at things, of course. But it's such spewing. If I look at it, I’ll be affected. It’s like dancing with the devil."
However, she did admit to an interest in Nintendo's latest video game console. "I discovered Wii this weekend," she commented. "I'm a late bloomer."

Jennifer Aniston: 'I will have babies'

Jennifer Aniston has hit back at ongoing rumours surrounding her status as a 'singleton'.
The actress spoke of her frustration over speculation that she may never have children in an interview with Vogue.
"I've said it so many times: I'm going to have children. I just know it," she told the US magazine.
"This whole 'Poor lonely Jen' thing, this idea that I'm so unlucky in love? I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love."
Reports surfaced last month claiming that Aniston and on-off partner John Mayer are expecting a baby.

Britney Joins Madonna

At Dodger Stadium last night in L.A., Britney Spears was reunited with Madonna (and Justin Timberlake, yes, the two did cross paths!) for her Sticky and Sweet tour. Greeting her with a kiss on the hand and a "Hi Britney," Madonna was joined onstage by Spears during her song "Human Nature." Spears looked great in black and white as she sang the last chorus of the song. And as for the reunion with Timblerlake, the two said a simple "hi" to each other.

Jennifer Aniston to Appear Regularly on "30 Rock"?

Jennifer Aniston's guest episode on 30 Rock apparently went so well that the rest of the cast would like to have her return on the show for a regular role.
The actress plays a character who stalks Alec Baldwin's character - Jack Donaghy - in an upcoming episode. The former Friends star was so good in her role that the rest of the cast apparently thinks it would be wise for NBC and the show's producers to bring her aboard.
"We'd love to have her," 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski told OK! Magazine.
And sources tell the magazine that Aniston is also interested in returning to TV four years after Friends went off the air.
"For Jen," an insider says, "it's about finding the right part, the right cast and the right fit."
