John Mayer will be there for his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, on Oscar Sunday."I'm going to the Oscars," he told Popsugar.com. "It's my first Oscars. And it's my first being an Oscar boyfriend."
According to Fox News, Aniston will be a presenter.
Aniston must be relieved that her boyfriend will be accompanying her. Otherwise, she would have been alone while her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and his baby mama, Angelina Jolie, floated down the famed red carpet together.
Pitt and Jolie are both up for Academy Awards. He is a Best Actor nominee for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and she is a Best Actress nominee for Changeling.
John Mayer, however, does not seem interested in who will win. "After that night I have a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record," he said. "So after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning I'm invisible."
