Since then he has spectacularly fallen off the wagon more times than we can count and had a major breakdown. After all the partying and cringeworthy paparazzi snaps, David landed himself in rehab for his booze addiction.
But has Davids embarrassing cry for help got Courteney’s attention back on him fully and away from Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins?
The once Hollywood power couple were spotted together at a Malibu flower store last week, and now sources a revealed: ” They quietly moved back in together a couple of weeks ago and are taking things one day at a time.”
Pals have said that best friend Jennifer Aniston has played a large art in reuniting the couple…
“Jen has been incredible. It broke her heart when Courtney and David split up, especially as she is godmother to their daughter, Coco.”
Over the past few weeks Jen has been inconstant contact with Courteney, 46 and David, 39, and has been determined to help them save their marriage.
“She is amazing at helping other people with their problems. It was clear that they loved each other a lot and just need to work through the issues that had driven them apart,” says the source.
“There was no bitterness between them after they separated, just sadness that things had gone wrong,” says a pal.
“By taking baby steps, Jen had got David and Courteney talking again.”
The insider adds: “Jen knows there is still a lot of work to do but she is positive they have a real chance of making a go of their marriage again.”
