In a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar, former Friends and The Switch star Jennifer Aniston paid tribute to her idol, Barbara Streisand, by wearing outfits inspired by the starlet’s wardrobe in Funny Girl and What’s Up, Doc?The photos will be released in next month’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar. In the spread, the 41-year-old actress poses as Streisand and reveals her appreciation and respect for the 68-year-old Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony-award winner. According to Aniston, the idea to mimic Streisand came from her “hairstylist and friend.” Aniston says she sings Streisand songs in the shower.
Aniston said “Barbara inspires [her] because there isn't anything she hasn't done that she wanted to do, especially as a female in the time when her generation was prime.”
Besides uncanny physical similarities, Aniston commented, “Also, we are people who have been put in the spotlight, for better or for worse, and you just keep riding, and you keep overcoming, and you just stay true to what you love to do.”
The Switch comes to theaters August 20.
