Jennifer Aniston to Guest Star on 'Cougar Town'

ABC has confirmed that Jennifer Aniston will be guest starring on the season two premiere of Cougar Town with her former Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Aniston will be playing Jules’s longtime therapist, Bonnie; a role that could become recurring if Aniston likes the story.
Executive producer Bill Lawrence says that Cox wanted to wait until the show found its niche before inviting Jennifer Aniston to guest star.
“I think that not only did Courteney feel comfortable talking to Jen about doing it, but comfortable in how funny she thinks the show is and that Jen would like it and fit into this world really well,” says Lawrence.
Lawrence hopes that viewers will watch the show for Aniston and see how the show has developed since its original premise.
Since starring on Friends together, Cox and Aniston have only collaborated one other time - on Cox’x FX show Dirt.
Season two of Cougar Town will premiere on ABC on Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30p.m./8:30p.m Central.
